The latest change to registration is supposed to add the users password to the user topic when he registers on a system that does not use a Password manager and therefore cannot store the email address in the secret password file.

This does not happen. There is no trace of an email address in the users topic when he registers.

KJL

Curious; I just tried it, and it works fine. The line added to the user topic was:

ok, so attrs should be attributes, but it's there ok.

CC

NO. There is no email address in the user topic.

I checked the file in an ASCII editor.

And I have tried two times more.

Opening again.

KJL

Try using the standard registration procedure, disabling LDAP for a minute.

You will notice that it works OK (it does for me, anyway).

OK, it was because Kenneth had verification disabled, which meant it never reached the email setting stage. Moved the email setting much earlier in the process, when the user topic is written. SVN 8496

CC

There was a bug.

SVN 8496 Honour goes to CC

KJL

Nag, nag, nag smile

Added "Email" to userform again, preventing it from disappearing next edit.

SVN 8497.
