I just noticed that TWiki 4.0 breaks a lot of our status reports/presentations where we include a particular version of Twiki topics.
The idea is that you have documentation of previous status meetings. Something you always need to have to present artifacts in ISO9000 audits.
I have also used it on the Motion TWiki where I have "The full Motion Guide" snapshots for previous major versions.
The problem is the new versioning scheme.
%INCLUDE{SomeTopic rev="1.4"}%
worked in Cairo.
In Dakar you have to write
%INCLUDE{SomeTopic rev="4"}%
Which is correct in the new - and much better I should add - versioning scheme.
But please make the code backwards compatible so it accepts the old 1.X notation.

That is an oversight that needs to be fixed. Other places that accepts revisions need to be checked as well.

Fixed this for includes and topics in general in Store.pm.
Unsure about attachments, I belive old versions of attachments are accessed through viewfile only, so only manually copy/pasted links will exist - meaning "stale links" in places external to TWiki .. I wonder if we should be generous and apply the the same fix to attachments?

To be on teh safe side, yes. It is well likely that topics contain links to approved versions of official docs, for example in an ISO 9000 compliant quality system.

Actually, attachments were all taken of as far as my testing goes - found the better way to do the rev cleanup in the process.
