Does this site look broken?. Use the LitterTray web for test cases.

Cairo had a "Using Forms for Settings" feature, TWiki:TWiki03.TWikiForms#Using_Forms_For_Settings which has been silently removed from Dakar. This makes it impossible for at least one site to upgrade, see TWiki:Support.UseFormForSettingBroken.

I see that we have a TWiki:Codev.ProcessToDocUndocumentedStuff and a TWiki:Codev.PluginsApiPolicies, but not yet a TWiki:Codev.TWikiCoreDeprecationPolicy.

Personally I never used this feature. In any case, I do not think we should silently drop a documented feature. I think we should restore this feature, declare it as deprecated, and remove it two releases later.

An alternative route could be to make a plugin solution for those that need the feature.

Then they do not have to worry about what to do in two years.

-- KJL

Yes, that is a good approach. Who is doing this? The person who removed the feature?

-- PTh

I doubt it. Thomas removed it, and he hasn't been seen for a long time.

Restored.
