Detail

I remember we discussed this at an earlier release and agreed that it was best to have the date, version and author at the top of the view template

You very often want to have a quick look while navigating around to see what changed and then it is essential information to see if a topic changed recently and who did it.

Most topics cannot be displayed on one page and you have to scroll down to see who edited what with the recent changes to PatternSkin.

I really would like to have this moved back where it was.

It has been a trade-off between this functionality and design. It is my conviction this is a super-user functionality that make the page just messy for the average user. Super-users can go to the bottom with 1 button press. But I have included the same information in the title tag in the breadcrumb: roll over the most right item in the breadcrumb.

This has been discussed before and we decided to have it at the top.

You have totally misunderstood the users situation if you think this is a super user feature. When you navigate around in topics where you normally work you automatically look at the upper right corner to see if the topic has changed recently. If it hasn't you navigate on. If it has changed you look what has changed.

This is something I am sure all users of TWiki does. The scroll over means you gave to sit and play with the mouse to see the info which you won't.

I really fail to understand the need for this change and I want it through a vote at the release meeting.

The revision info now says date and author.

Nice solution. Thanks.
