Context
You can attach images and other files to any wiki page. Each uploaded item can have a descriptive
comment. Additionally the upload page offers to create a link to the attachment for convenience.
Problem
If the descriptive comment contains
WikiWords, the link is broken
Steps to reproduce the bug
- Click Attach
- on the attach new file page:
- Select an image from on your local computer (choose something interesting )
- check the option to Create a link to the attached file.
- type in a comment that contains a WikiWord, e.g. WebHome
- upload
- After uploading the image, the image is displayed on top of the form.
The image appears but the link is broken. Some part of HTML is displayed as well.
Additionally, if you try the
Wysiwyg link, you get the error message:
TWiki detected an error or attempted hack - please check your TWiki logs and webserver logs for more information.
Use of uninitialized value in substitution (spath)
Hint: This Bugs web is special as you can not repair the link manually:
Edit does not access the text area, see
Item465.
I can't reproduce the sceond part of this report (wysiwyg); I suspect it is unrelated, and would appreciate whatever debugging info you can come up with. The first part was due to a bad setting of a
TWikiVariable.

CC
Hello
CC,
the design has changed a bit, the
wysiwyg link has been replaced by a
compose link. Clicking on it does not give an error message any more. Most interesting: I can now edit the links in the textarea (using both
edit and
compose). I could not do that before (and thus filed
Item465). So maybe there are too many changes to reproduce the bug.
Nevertheless, I tried to redo the steps described above. Thus I tried to remove the links and the attachments to start over with a clean page.
cut the other error to a new item
Could not find the
new item. Nevertheless, I tried but could not reproduce the second problem in this report
any more. Seems
Fixed ! --- Daniel Kabs
