It seems like
WebNotify / Subscibe are not using the right locales in the regexp, even if i use "use_locales" in the configuration.
When i include "use locale" to both, the use the right locales and therefor topics with umlauts e.g. are working for the subscription.
CDot told me, that to solve this properly, the TWiki-RE regular-expression should be used, instead the current one.
I'm not sure what "the regexp" refers to. There is only one regexp in the
MailerContrib involved in matching usernames in WebNotify. This RE can be overridden by setting
{MailerContrib}{EmailFilterIn}
. The RE defaults to the default TWii regex for matching email addresses, but could easily be enhanced for international characters - if that's the problem.
Or perhaps this is to do with the matching of topic names? If so, there is one instance of \w when parsing topic names that may be having an impact. That RE ought to use
$TWiki::regex{mixedAlphaNum}
rather than \w.
Please confirm what the problem is (preferably provide a testcase - an example
WebNotify topic would do). Thanks.
Later: after reading on, I'm pretty sure this is the same as
Item5296. Proceeding on that basis.
