attach help contains the following text:

Bug: Internet Explorer 4.0 or earlier: If you get an "Internal Server Error" message when you upload a file, you need to try again. It should work the second time.

can we get rid of this text? if not, i propose to add browser version detection and optionally display the message only when appropriate.

This topic was lost from the lists due to not having a codebase field. Rediscovered 3/2/07.

BTW the message is in PatternSkinElements.txt, so setting to Arthur for feedback

CC

No, it is in twikiplugins/PatternSkin/templates/attach.pattern.tmpl:41.

AC

Where do I get IE4 to test this?

Who uses IE 4? I think we can get rid of the text by now.

AC

IE 4 has fallen off the radar in internet stats. The Counter report for June 2007 gives the browser a fraction of a percent, rounded to 0%.

So yes, it can be removed.
