simple reproducable case == MyItems, where you get red SEARCH errors.

the command line for MyItems breaks - there are embedded and unescaped [^ ] chars in that topic that are ok on unix, and busted on Windows. (hopefully i can patch this)

looks like its necessary to double "" any "'s that occur in the search regex, and to double ^^ and ^'s in the regex. - friggen choice.

ok, I'm going to do 2 things - add some extra code for windows' users that insist on using grep (though the first 2 SEARCH's in MyItems will still fail due to (i think) terminal issues with unmatching ";s), and then
