Does this site look broken?. Use the LitterTray web for test cases.

The GMTIME in the template (TWiki.WebLeftBarPersonalTemplate) is expanded when the template is used. Therefore the t parameter in the link is always the same.

It is expanded whenever the page is refreshed in the browser. That's the way it works. I don't see any problem with this; can you please provide a testcase if you think there is a bug.

Here is the procedure to reproduce:

  1. register a new user and log in as this user
  2. click on "Create personal sidebar"
  3. make some changes and save the topic
  4. click on the "edit" link in the new personal left bar and make some more changes
  5. check the "Force new revision" box and save the changes
  6. click again on the "edit" link - the second set of changes is gone!

If I understood the intentions correctly, the GMTIME from the template should go literally to the new personal left bar topic. This is currently not the case, it is expanded when the new left bar is created.

OK, i understand. The set of expanded variables on template instantiation has grown to include GMTIME.

SVN 7897

The fix does not work in beta6 (Tue, 17 Jan 2006 build 8357) - same behaviour as described above.
