it assumes that the web has a favicon.ico attached to WebPreferences
, what does not hold for webs migrated from Cairo.
that favicon.ico should be optional.
Any ideas how? -- AC
A suggestion has been to be able to define a variable in TWikiVariables
which is common to all webs - also the Cairo ones. And then you override that in WebPreferences
The annoying part if not that the icon is there. It is the flooding of the error log.
It is actually very simple
there is a
* Set FAVICON = %PUBURLPATH%/%BASEWEB%/%WEBPREFSTOPIC%/favicon.ico
So each web must have a favicon.ico attached to the WebPreferences topic of each web to avoid warnings in the logs.
Maybe it would be better to default this to
* Set FAVICON = %PUBURLPATH%/%TWIKIWEB%/%WEBPREFSTOPIC%/favicon.ico
But I am reluctant to checkin such a change because for those that have attached different favicons to each web this change will go into the "PITA upgrade" category. So maybe a better alternative is to add a note to either install or an upgrade document.
I think a note in the upgrade procedure would be best.
Agree. I will do that.
Done. 10210 and 10211
