In fact, it shows the text fine, but the whole collapsable part is vertically scrollable because some of the input fields are too long.

The attached patch limits the field lengths, the limits are somewhat arbitrarily but seem to suffice for most average screen resolutions / font sizes (tested with IE / firefox only, but it generates valid xhtml/transitional).
