Since both PatternSkin and ClassicSkin are affected, I'm reporting this as an Engine issue. But I'm not sure it's right.

The problem is that the quotes in comment is not escaped, thus the first one in the comment is interpreted as closing the value attribute of the input tag.

Note the text entry field. It is supposed to show the current text so when you change an attribute and save again the text is not altered. The bug is that the text after the first " is missing.
