One of the topics in my Know web combined with
AliasPlugin causes the view script to error out 500; without
AliasPlugin loaded, it works perfectly.
I've tested this with both speedy_cgi and normal view scripts, and they all cause the same error:
with alias plugin
without alias plugin
I've run them all with ?debugenableplugins= query string and with all the plugins I normally use on a daily basis. Not only that, it runs very slowly when I try it with the
AliasPlugin.
I note that the TWiki/WebAliases.txt file has extra M$-DO$ garbage (CRLF stuff); just ran dos2unix on it, seeing if that makes a difference (I doubt it, alas).
Whoah! It did make a difference! WTH?! IT's just as slow, but it did in fact load the page. Without it, it's much quicker to load that page.
I guess this should be another Item...

You've forgotten to report the most important thing: what is the
set of aliases that you defined in the Know web and on the current topic?
Type
%ALIASES%
to display a table off all active aliases.
You have to be very carefull with this plugin !!!
The wrong alias can DESTROY you page, i.e. aliasing special characters
or html tags or what so ever.

yeh, I am as much as possible; I'm using numbered entities for the aliases too, otherwise the named entities (HTML entities) make the RSS parser puke on konqueror, and moz apps (which is porably a symptom of something in the rendering engine maybe?).
I'm using the default aliases in TWiki web, for my Know web.
This topic was lost from the lists due to not having a codebase field. Rediscovered 3/2/07. Just set it to "No Action" if it is dead.
