Committed revision 5998.

The actual code was checked in against this, not just the testcases. I reverted the code (SVN 6318) as it is unacceptable to violate the store encapsulation to that degree. The imlementation has to be done entirely within the store. That may require retiring META::FILEATTACHMENT completely - it was an incredibly bad design decision in the first place - and we just don't have time before DakarRelease, so I am deferring this.

Committed 6438, done entirely within Store (and RcsFile).

Can we turn on this option on develop? It could do with user acceptance testing.

Its the Misc Options {AutoAttachPubFiles} configuration option.

Thanks.

MC

afaict, there's no point in turning in on on develop.twiki.org, as no one will be adding attachments to topics using this technique; no one is manipulating it at the file system level. -- WN

see Item432 - enable {AutoAttachPubFiles} by default for beta testing; if this switch is enabled by default, it would mean develop.twiki.org would have it enabled

SVN:6490 enables AutoAttachments by default in TWiki:Plugins.TWikiInstallerContrib -- WN

This is considered complete and is turned on when shipped.
