TWiki 4.0.2 (and 4.0.1) seem to ignore replaceIfEditedAgainWithin setting. When checking new revisions in, RCS gets called with the name surrounded by quotes: -w'AlexKotov', and RCS stores the quotes as part of the user name.

The check in Store.pm:997

   996              # same user?
   997              if(  $revuser eq $user->wikiName() ) {
   998                  $this->repRev( $user, $web, $topic, $text,
   999                                 $meta, $options );
  1000                  return;
  1001              }

then compares AlexKotov and 'AlexKotov', failing because of the quotes.

What platform are you on?

Any platform running safe pipes will not apply the quotes, AFAICT.

Redhat 7.2 kernel 2.4.29 RCS version 5.7.
I just tested this on 4.0.2 and it works exactly as expected. Can only conclude that you are doing something else not recorded here, or your configuration is incorrect someohoew (are you using an external authentication method other than the standard ones)

Discarded pending more information.
