Does this site look broken?. Use the LitterTray web for test cases.

I'm not sure whether this is a bug, or whether my TWiki installation is somehow broken, but:

Since my upgrade to 4.0.2 I often run into unexpanded instances of $web and $login. For instance:

  • When I edit a page, the signature becomes: -- $web.LevienVanZon - 22 Jun 2006
  • On ChangePassword, the "Your LoginName" field contains $login
  • The NatSkin topbar displays my login name as: $web.LevienVanZon

I tested this with various skins, it's not only when using NatSkin. I could not find anything in the Bugs web resembling this, am I the only one with this problem?

What plugins / contribs do you have installed?

The standard list from TWiki/Dakar 4.0.2, plus:

The problem also occured before I installed BlackListPlugin, FilterPlugin and ImageGalleryPlugin. I first noticed it after updating NatSkinPlugin (shortly after updating TWiki to 4.0.2), but it also occurs when I disable NatSkinPlugin.

It look like you are the only one. Suggest you remove all plugins and reproduce the problem, then share your configuration. I'm discarding this; I know you will re-open it if you are able to reproduce the problem in a way we can debug it.
