Any TWiki doc updates that is not tracked in a specific bug item can use this number, but only during the 4.1.0 development phase.

Please don't do this, it is not SMART. It makes it impossible to relate checkins to specific change requests, and as a result we end up with a nightmare when trying to merge between branches and/or generate change reports for release notes. It is much better to create items for specific actions. If you have global actions - for example "Fixing spelling errors" - then by all means create a general items for that. But don't use it as cover for checking in rewritten documents, or we just end up in a mess again.

Thanks,

CC

It is really nt practical to create a new bug item for every doc change. Also, once we have update capability from twiki.org wiki we need one bug item number for doc work.

-- PTh

Looking at the svn log for the 4.0.3 doc work item having a catchall for doc work have worked ok I think.

Doc work that should go into the release notes should still have its own item (i.e. an item like Item2565).

I really don't like this. I think it's very bad practice. Caveat emptor.

Reverted the change to the doc on templates in 10972; it was wrong. If you are going to use t.o. as the doc master, can I ask that you please regularly merge changes to t.o. so that people aren't modifying incorrect docs.

Regarding this to Requirement so it doesn't get lost in the exctiement of a release.
