The syntax is:

  1. ++ at the start of a line will eat all whitespace before the preceding newline, and all whitespace after the ++, and replace it all with a single space.
  2. +- at the start of a line will eat the immediately preceding newline
  3. +* at the start of a line will eat all whitespace before the preceding newline, and all whitespace after the +*.


After shouting at Sven for a while we realised that there is no reason for the current parser not to support \n in variable parameter lists; we just never did it before. So I added a testcase, and fixed the problem (a two-character fix) and now it works. Example:

Of course you still have to use \ for lists and parameter values, which is yucky, but you can't have everything.
