Topic variables can be made invisible by setting them (the new way) through More or the Edit screen. But the user will now have to go to that screen to evaluate the set values.

There should be a mechanism to view the variable values - but only for those who are authorized. -- AC

The developer can always quote the variable in the body text, until development is complete, and then remove them.

I think this is so low priority that I'm deferring it.

Reopening, because I would want to know what the mechanism is/will be to access the variables screen. The desired feedback can be solved in the More and Edit templates. -- AC
To be honest, I don't understand what AC is asking for. --TW
I thought somewhere you where mentioning that access to topic variables might be restricted (access rights). If so, editing of topic variables would not be allowed.

If editing of the variables is not allowed, is viewing the variable values allowed? --AC

The current implementation is such that if you cannot edit a topic, you cannot edit the settings either, but you can view them. --TW
It appears that what AC is asking for is already implemented... --TW
