Check out the table I produced at TWiki:Codev.NotAllTagsWorkWithInclude. Surely that got to be wrong. My intuition is that
  • $topic should be pointing to the included topic
  • $session->{topicname} should be pointing to the included topic
  • %INCLUDINGTOPIC% and %BASETOPIC% should be yielding the expected result.

Further, whatever it is, surely $topic and $session->{topicname} should be pointing to the same thing when in a plugin handler. As should the expansion of %TOPIC%. Why are these three variables differently handled?
