Since the merge of the ExtendedSelectPlugin values in a select can be redefined by distinguishing the format it is displayed and the real value of an option. From the manual:

| Field 9 | select+values | 5 | One, Two=2, Three=III, Four | Various values formats |

Since Item2650 and Item3434, saving the form values also includes checking back the values again to see if they are really part of the definition of the form. This code went to a series of changes and still is not correct because it did not strip off the part before the equation sign in form fields of type select+values (and select+multi+values ). So the code simply removed the value as it was not found in the formfield definition ... resulting in data loss.
