Detail

TWiki rewrites filenames with spaces, but no rewriting took place on this name: DataCenterEnergyEfficiency(TUI3004B)[1].pdf

and the results weren't pretty. Sort of what you are seeing now. If you look at the raw text of this, the filename is between the equals signs.

This is yet another example of unexpected consequences of changing the WikiWord rule. TWiki:Codev/ProposedChangeToWikiWordSpec treats number as lower case letters, e.g. TUI3004B is now a valid WikiWord. I find this an unfortunate spec change; however, it is too late to change the spec yet again.

Workaround: Escape the linking of the WikiWord. This can be done by:

  • prefixing the WikiWord with a <nop>
  • surrounding text in <noautolink>...</noautolink>
  • turning of autolinking with a NOAUTOLINK = on preferences setting.

I am setting this to "no action required" since this is the current spec.

I don't understand what

DataCenterEnergyEfficiency(SomeTWikiWord)[1].pdf (sic)

has to do with adding numbers to WikiWords. This seems to me to be an unrelated issue, todo more with the scope of the = being ignored.

setting back to, New

TUI3004B is now a WikiWord because numbers are treated as lower case letters, it is linked in above example because of the leading parenthesis.
