Detail

It's really irritating that it doesn't. Perl has a link function that lets you know if a platform can't link.

Another point: Do not take any install action if run without parameters, except to show a small help. Each time I want to use this script I have to look at the head of the script to see what I need to type.

There should be an option to install without linking. At least until I figure out how to set permissions on linked directories on my Mac.

Peter, it has always done that; perl pseudo-install.pl gives a usage.

Arthur, there is! perl pseudoinstall.pl -copy default
