I think there is an image above but there is no trace of it.

Some marking should be present that there is an image to come

Add an image using the image button.

Upon completion note that you see nothing.

There is no visible image because you set the width and height to 1 pixel.

Image adding is being reworked and is tracked in Item4534, so this is a duplicate.

This is not a duplicate of 4534.

Why is the width and height by default 1? Not being able to see a placeholder for an image that you are going to upload later (since you cannot while you edit) is bad usability. There is no trace at all that you have added the image tag. None what so ever.

I cannot. It happens before you save.

You either have to follow my steps or come sit on my lap.

But actually - I tried again and something changed. Now I see the browser default for missing image. Which is fine.

Maybe a result of having resolved the image link bug
