Does this site look broken?. Use the LitterTray web for test cases.

when I do searches in the TWiki web I get the following message

  [Tue Sep 20 22:17:39 2005] search: Argument "1.0beta2" isn't numeric
in numeric lt (<) at /import/chipweb/twiki/lib/TWiki/Store.pm line 587.

apparently Store.pm is doing a numerical format version check when non-numeric format strings such as 1.0beta are being used in a lot of places.

This is presumably because you have topcs that are labelled with the "1.0beta2" format.

I don't know what version of the code you are running, but line 587 is a comment in mine.

I though I had eliminated this problem; can you update your code to Dakar and try again?

Looks like that area is still uncommented in version 6556:

        if( !$format || $format < 1.1 ) {
            # Old decoding retained for backward compatibility
            # (this encoding is badly broken)
            $value =~ s/%_N_%/\n/g;
            $value =~ s/%_Q_%/\"/g;
            $value =~ s/%_P_%/%/g;
        } else {
            $value = dataDecode( $value );
        }

Pete

For now, change that condition to:

        if( !$format || $format =~ /[^\d.]/ || $format < 1.1 ) {
that should cure it, and I'll put a fix in the code when I'm near a machine where I can check in.
