Crawford requested separate bug reports for separate issues - here we go, though the issue has been mentioned in Item4747. But after applying the patches in that item,

Check out LitterTray.AdjacentTableRowVariables which shows a table where two adjacent lines ("rows") are built using TWiki variables which expand the table separators. It is given in verbatim as well, so that you can restore it if it breaks.

You see a table with two columns
Edit using TMCE
Preview (or Save, but then please restore from the verbatim section in raw edit mode)
The table now has four columns

It happens here, and it happens on my SVN checkout area (revision 15331).

This is definitely the case, though I am struggling to find a solution.

Thanks for providing the testcase. Even though many of these problems are similar in effect, it is only through detailed analysis that I can find the real reason. To avoid unfixing previously fixed bugs, I maintain a test suite that includes testcases for many closed issues. To do this I need the individual testcases to be clearly isolated.
