Detail

As described in summary.

Test case: LitterTray.TestAutoInc:

  • Create new topic with empty Title
  • New topic is created (bug)
    • Title form field is missing (bug)
  • Edit new topic
  • Try to save with empty Title field: Error message (as expected)
  • Save with text in Title field: OK (as expected)

-- TWiki:Main/PeterThoeny - 19 Oct 2007

This is not just an AUTOINC bug. If you disable javascript when you are editing a topic with an empty mandatory field, it also erroniously allows you to save.

similarly, if you use the direct save url, I expect it will erroniously succeed

-- TWiki:Main.SvenDowideit - 15 Nov 2007

Problem was due to the incorrect assumption that a field value set to undef in the query was the same as that field not being set. Corrected.
