Does this site look broken?. Use the LitterTray web for test cases.

To ename the apache authentication, I have LocalSite.cfg include $TWiki::cfg{LoginManager} = 'TWiki::Client::ApacheLogin'; which enables only one login to see both ../data/ProtectedWeb/ and .../pub/ProtectedWeb/ content.

In the Cairo release, a call to URL http://twikiserver/bin/view/ProtectedWeb would automagically revert to http://twikiserver/bin/viewauth/ProtectedWeb and then request a login through the Apache interface.

Now in Dakar, the first call sets the user as TWikiGuest and then fails with an 'Access Denied'. If one manually types in the 'viewauth' URL, the login proceeds as expected and access to see/view/edit the ProtectedWeb is allowed.

Any chance the Cairo functionality can be ported to Dakar?

That's a bug in the Dakar code. It is supposed to behave the same way. Investigating.

Stupid bug. Fixed in SVN 6610. Will be in next beta. Quick fix available if needed.

Summary with TWiki::Client::ApacheLogin enabled, 'view' does not revert to 'viewauth' on protected webs.
