Although changing the parent changes the meta data, this isn't something the user sees. TWiki should update the metadata "under the covers". The user should not be required to click Edit in order to activate a change of parent topic.

It doesn't. Setting the parent is done in the "More actions" screen. Typing the parent name and updating is all that is needed. Of course an AJAX solution right from the topic view would be nicer.
