The symptom is that the old-fashioned TEXTAREA-based page editing forms do not submit after a browser "back". This renders the "Preview" feature pretty well useless. The page appears to function correctly. It is just the buttons to submit the revised page content do no actually do anything. There is no Javascript error reported.

I noticed it just after I upgraded to Firefox on Windows XP.

The cause, for me, turned out to be the "RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin", which had appeared as part of the lastest upgrade to Real Audio's RealPlayer.

I saw recommendations to uninstall this, but I found that disabling was sufficient.

Don't ask how long I spent faffing about to track that down...
