Detail
You can use the "X ingroup Y" syntax in an IF, but not in a query search (you get the error: Could not perform search. Error was: Missing operator in "
").
I have fixed this problem on my local 4.2.2 installation and will submit a diff of the two files I changed.
Per IRC instructions, marking Urgent so that a dev sees this.

After reviewing changes between the TWikiRelease04x02 and the master branches, it seems your patch should integrate flawlessly into the 5.0 release.
But I let more experienced coders confirm and commit

As far as I can see this is an enhancement of Query search to pick up a fix from IF and not a release blocking bug.
Changing to enhancement.
