When a large amount of data is charted, it is not possible to use
since all data labels would get drawn on top of each other making them unreadable. It would be nice to have the ability to limit how many datalabels are drawn.
Add enhancement allowing
to have values of
. These will limit the data labels to only be on xgrid lines. So
draws the data label while
draws the data label in a box.
An additional option was added where you can specify a digit to specify the number of =datalabel='s to draw. So specifying '5' would attempt to draw 5 datalabels. Specifying "5 box" or "5box" or "box 5" or "box5" will attempt to draw 5 datalabels inside of a box. I say "attempt" since the code will try to produce '#' equally spaced datalabels and depending on the number of data points fewer labels will be drawn than requested. For example with 16 data points, specifying 7, 8, or 9 datalabels will only produce 8 datalabels.
Also improved "auto" such in addition to "autobox" "auto box" and "box auto" are also supported
