was discussed several release meetings ago, and is deemed accepted by the 7-day rule.
This item is opened for the initial checkin, and will remain open until it's ready for release. Expect multiple checkins.
This topic is not automagically recording checkins. 23447 was not recorded; I added the tag manually, figuring it might have been a 1-time editing conflict. However 23448 also was not recorded. I'm not going to do so manually so someone with server access can investigate.
Ah, this is a know bug in trunk, introduced by someone called PeterThoeny when implementing Item6819
: Usability: Move change TWiki form from edit screen to "more" screen. I pinged myself to fix it finally. I manually recovered the fields in the form below.
In the interim, please use "edit page" instead of "add comment" in the Bugs web.
A brief note on the packaging: This isn't really a Plugin (though it contains a tiny one), nor a contrib, nor anything else. It's currently packaged as though it were a plugin to make it possible to install on existing systems from a self-contained kit. I expect things to move around as it gets integrated. In the meantime, anyone who wants to experiment with it can generate a kit (tar file) with:
cd trunk; TasksPlugin
/tools/Tasks/Install.pl genkit -b core/bin -t core/tools
If you want some toy 'applications', add --develop. There's a README in the kit.
RE: the comment bug: I only used comment to note that that checkin revs weren't recorded. The initial entry was
edit page. So this doesn't explain why the revs were not captured.
If comment is broken on pages with forms, till it's fixed, what not have it disable itself if FORM is in the metadata of the topic to which it's attached?
