The verbatim tags in the second column of TextFormattingRules
adds horizontal scrolls to those cells and that column gets displayed so narrowly that it is unreadable. This situation is made worse when the topic is presented in a small pop-up window after the user clicks on the "More formatting help" link in
I attempted to remedy this by forcing the width of the second column by defining the width of the top cell in that column. But, for some reason, my setting did not seem to work in the pop-up window. So I'm filing this bug...
This is a major documentation bug since TextFormattingRules
is quite likely one of the first pieces of documentation many new users will view - and it's totally unusable.
Maybe the format of TextFormattingRules
should be rethought anyway, or at least the sample texts shortened.
I suggest making TextFormattingRules
work similar to TWikiVariables
but with a twist. -- FJ
I am working at this but it is not easy to get it cross browser. AC
Looks fine in my browser. --TW
