Though done rarely, a URL may have a user and password under the following URL syntax.
scheme "://" [ user ":" password "@" ] server [ ":" port ] [ path ]
As you see, a user and a password come immediately after the initial "://", but so far, TWiki regards "@" indicates a user and a password even if it's in the path, which causes problems with URLs having "@" in their path.
